I'm Back!!!

I have been MIA for quite some time now…nearly a month I do believe. Really, I don’t have much of an excuse except that my life hasn’t been very exciting lately. But, I will share with you what I have been up to!!!

Mostly I’ve been packing/getting ready for my move to Ohio (will be gone by the end of this month, Mike got the house!!!), trying to tie up all loose ends, close out my bank account, talk to my insurance companies, gather together a few boxes of odds and ends from my parents house.

My parents have finally accepted the fact that I love Mike, and am going to move out to Ohio to be with him no matter what, so my last few visits have been drama free…my mom even gave me some homemade pickles and some vegetables that she canned last year.

Stuck here in New Jersey the past few weeks I have been really missing the usual pre-deer hunting season activities…food plots, trail cameras, scouting. I did start looking for land here in NJ to bear hunt this year; Mike wants to come back with Wyatt and I this December for the annual bear hunt. It would be awesome if I could find some land right here around where I live now, since I know the area so well and there are tons of bears here. Every week on garbage day, the neighbors up and down the road set out their garbage to be picked up by the garbage truck, and the bears never fail to show up first.

Last week I saw a mama bear and three cubs crossing the road about a quarter of a mile past my house. I was surprised who small the cubs still were, not much bigger than a large housecat. After I got to my house I grabbed my video camera and headed back out, but by then they were gone, and all I saw was a mama deer with twin fawns. Looks like I’m going to need to bring my video camera with me every time I go out somewhere.

And, that’s about all I have been doing. My best friend is on vacation and doesn’t get back til this weekend so I won’t have much to do. Maybe work on my tan??? Visit my parents??? Maybe go down to the river to swim??? I sincerely wish I liked fishing since there's a small brook about a quarter of a mile down the road and it’s filled with trout.

At least I will be in Ohio soon, I can do some groundhog hunting and film Mike shooting some with the Ross. AND I get to finally shoot my new bow!!! Then in August we will be Utah bound where I will film Mike hunting Mule deer, in September we head to Colorado for Elk, headed to Kentucky sometime this fall for Whitetail, and of course we will be deer hunting Ohio. And who knows where else. It’s going to be exciting!!!
